Artist Development Training Open Day
Tuesday 1st August 12.30-3.30 @ The Deloitte Room, MAC Birmingham, B12 9QH
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
The Red Earth Collective, with the support of The Baring Foundation, is running an Artist Development and Training Programme to enable artists, across all disciplines, to work in their communities to support people with mental health issues.
The free programme which will begin in September 2023, will take place in Birmingham, UK.
It will be delivered by established artists and mental health professionals and will provide practical advice, training, information, guidance and paid work experience opportunities to help artists to develop their skills and experience to deliver creative workshops and projects in mental health settings.
Join our open day where you will;
Hear about our Artist Development and Training programme
Learn from the feedback we have collected through consultation with artists
Meet our team and find out about the work of the Red Earth Collective
Ask us questions about the training programme and how to apply
Network with other artists
The Red Earth Collective is a Black led organisation and the majority of our team have lived experience of mental ill health. As such we strongly encourage applications from artists from ethnically diverse backgrounds, those with lived experience of mental health issues or disability, who are neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, on low income and other underrepresented artists.
If you are feeling unsure if this opportunity is for you, please come along to the open day to check in with us. Book your free place here.
